The images of the components have been created by ForceUser. I have just adapted them to my needs, by adding a transparent background, and resizing them. Many thanks to ForceUser, for creating the images and allowing me to use them. Here is a link to The Alternate Reality, ForceUser's Stars Site.
This image shows a standard item, here the Phased Sapper. You can see its cost, the technology that is required to get it (without miniaturization), and its characteritics.
Here you see a Mystery Trader item : the Multi Contained Munition. It is first a beam weapon, so the characteristics of a beam weapon are displayed, exactly as for the Phased Sapper. The additional characteristics are then given in text, as needed, allowing for extremely complicated items to be fully described. At the bottom of the image is additional text giving constraints about the item : here the fact that it can only be obtained from a Mystery Trader.
This is an engine, with its fuel usage curve, its danger zone if exceeding the safe speed. The maximum speed is also read from the rules files.
This is a planetary defense with both curves showing protection against normal and smart bombs. At the bottom is an example of Primary Racial Trait constraint: here the item is unavailable to Alternate Reality and War Monger. PRT needed and LRT constraints are also written here if useful.
This picture shows a ship hull. Notice the tabbed pane that appears at the bottom. It allows to switch between the general characteritics and the hull view.
Here is the hull view for the same ship as in the previous image. It completely describes all slots, adapting to slot positions and to all imaginable slot types. (The Browser has no restrictions, and is capable of diplaying a slot with Mining Robots or Electrical, for example). The sole constraint is the maximum size, which is represented by the Death Star hull visible below.
The base hull also have a tabbed pane to see the hull slots. Alternate Reality maximum population is directly written among the general characteritics of the base.
One of the most complicated hull, but the Browser is able to draw it smoothly. It even finds out that there is enough space to show the Dock as a circle.
